Cape Town - Thursday 14th
We had hoped to go whale watching but found out when we got here that the season for this is from June to November.
There were lots of really colourful fishes, including some really big sharks and moray eels.

In the afternoon we came back to play in the pool for a while before going out for dinner and by the time we'd finished that it was time for bed again.

So instead we took a trip to the V&A Waterfront area of Cape Town where there are lots of shops and an aquarium.

Tonight is our last night in South Africa, and tomorrow we'll be packing everything up and getting ready to go to the airport for the flight home.

Cape Town - Weds 13th
Flew back from Port Elizabeth to Cape town in the morning, and went to our new place to stay which is a very big and very posh apartment in an area called Camps Bay.

We played in the pool for a while and in the afternoon we took the cable car up to the top of Table Mountain. The picture above is from the top looking down on Camps Bay. And the one below is of me with another mountain called Lions Head in the background.

Shamwari Day 3 - Tues 12th
We were up early again today, but the weather was really bad, lots of rain and actually quite cold. So we went back to bed for a few hours instead which was really nice.
It was the clearest night here yet and the stars were amazing. There were lots and lots of them and they were very clear.
One of the rhinos seemed annoyed that we got so close and looked like he was getting ready to charge us at one point! He didn't actually do it though, so we haven't got any scratches on us from his horn.

Shamwari Day 2 - Mon 11th

Ugghhhh....got a wake up call at 5am today and we were in the Land Rover at 5.30 looking for animals. It was really worth it though as we were lucky enough to see some lions catch an antelope for their breakfast! Our ranger, Sipho, told us that this was a very rare event to witness. We got really quite close and have some good pics to show what happened.
There were big thunderstorms in the afternoon which meant I had to stop playing in the pool for a while (which is freezing!).

At 4pm we went back into the park again, and the highlight this time was seeing rhinos....particularly the endangered black rhinowith her baby. It was a barbecue in the evening but both Daddy and I were really tired so didn't stay up for long!
We saw lots of different sorts of antelopes to add to the list as well as some jackals.

Wedding ! Sat 9th

We went to Synva and Francois wedding today. It was a beautiful day and a lovely place for them to get married. The bride was beautiful, and so was the cake. I think the cake was my favourite bit.
The day started off really lazily by the pool, then we went to the wedding and eventually home by about 11pm....really tired next day as up for 6am to go to the game reserve (see tomorrow for details).
It was very hot, everyone had a good time and it was lots of fun with nice food. Especially the cake. Cake was nice too. Yummy...I dead like cake.

Friday the 8th
Lazy day today recovering from the flight....especially for Daddy who kept falling asleep on me !
Managed to find the swimming pool though....but it's freezing cold!!!
Because we've travelled past the equator it's summer here at the moment, and we've also seen that water goes down the plughole the wrong way round.
We're staying in a very nice guesthouse called Val D'Or...and in the evening we went into the closest town, called Franschhoek, for some yummy dinner.
